This festival takes place from July the 14th to August the 24th 2012 and will reward the winner of the competition with a Gold Vestal.

It was created in order to promote every kind of pyromusical shows.

Pyromusical shows shall be ignited at sea from 3 barges anchored approximately 350 meters offshore and approximately 180 meters from each other (see the diagram below). Since the display is to be staged from the sea, all the effects must be aerial and nautical. Each display shall consist of a minimum of 25 minutes (twenty-five minutes) of actual fireworks.

The Palais des Festivals will install a high quality and high power sound system, so that every spectator will enjoy the show. The sound control computer is located on the Croisette, next to the Palais Stéphanie (former Hilton palace).

Fireworks shall be fired solely from the 3 barges made available to the company by SEMEC. However, additional firing ramps, maximum 8 (eight), may be added within a predefined area:
  to the sides, by the 2 outer barges
  to the rear, in line with the barges
  to the fore, within a distance of no more than 50 (fifty) metres in front of the barges (see plan).

These ramps shall be used only for small fireworks (candles, fountains, bombettes, etc. with a maximum calibre of 50mm) and shall measure no more than 2m x 4m.
