Every year, the Festival d’Art Pyrotechnique de Cannes sees pyrotechnicians from all over the world compete for the Vestale. This trophy is hotly contested and internationally recognized as the prize for excellence in pyrotechnic art. The jury also awards the Prix du Jury to the pyrotechnician who stands out for originality.

Special Jury Prize

After meticulous canvassing, a final rigorous selection is made from among the many entries to choose five competitors who will vie for the coveted trophy.

In addition to the originality of the chosen theme and the pieces presented, a 5-person Jury assesses the staging itself, the quality of the musical illustration, the synchronization, the search for color, the firing rate and general rhythm, and the overall artistic impression: the tableaux, the pyrotechnic design, the respect for the chosen theme.

Two international pyrotechnicians, who will remain anonymous until the awards ceremony, will evaluate the 5 displays based on the following criteria: proper site management and the technical execution of the show. The overall score awarded by the technical jury will account for 25% of each firm’s final grade.

The jury also awards the Prix du Jury to the fireworks display that stands out for its originality.

 Laurie Canac

After working as a journalist in Paris for about ten years, Laurie CANAC chose to return to the French Riviera to continue her career closer to the region she holds dear.

For the past four years, she has been a journalist at BFM Nice Côte d’Azur, where she covers local news.

Deeply attached to her region, she maintains a special connection with the events that set the pace of life on the Côte d’Azur. As a child, she went every year to the International Fireworks Festival, an occasion that left a lasting impression on her memories.

 Caroline Delattre

For nearly 30 years, Caroline DELATTRE has been working in the fields of media, journalism, and communications.

Trained as a journalist, she built much of her career in Paris, collaborating with major media outlets such as NRJ, Europe 2, RFM, and TF1, where she notably worked within the television news editorial team.

Five years ago, Caroline chose to return to the French Riviera, her native region. Today, at Cannes Radio, she oversees partnerships, produces on-the-ground reports, and actively contributes to promoting local events, key stakeholders, and initiatives across the region.

 François Feldman

François Feldman is a French singer-songwriter who enjoyed a string of major successes between 1986 and 1992, with five number-one singles and fourteen hits reaching the Top 50 charts.

Several of his albums achieved Diamond certification, making him one of the leading figures of French popular music in the 1980s and 1990s.

Now living in the south of France, he continues to perform occasionally at selected concerts and live events.

 Sebastien Grotus

At 47 years old and originally from Paris, Sébastien moved to the French Riviera 13 years ago.

He has been working for the Carlsberg Group for over 20 years as Regional Sales Manager, overseeing clients in the hospitality sector (cafés, hotels, and restaurants) as well as event industry professionals.

A passionate enthusiast of both sporting and music events, Sébastien has also developed a particular fascination for pyrotechnic art and never misses an opportunity to experience the excitement of the Cannes Pyrotechnic Art Festival.

 Valéry Zeitoun

Valéry Zeitoun is best known as a music producer who headed the AZ label at Universal.
He created and produced the show Les Vieilles Canailles alongside Johnny Hallyday, Jacques Dutronc, and Eddy Mitchell.
In radio, he is a regular commentator on RTL every Sunday on Le Bon Dimanche Show.
On television, he produced À Crédit et en Stéréo with Laurent Gerra and Eddy Mitchell for C8. He also produced the fireworks broadcasts for July 14th and December 31st, 2024, for TF1 and served as a judge on Popstars on M6.
In cinema, he appeared as an actor in Star 80 and Backstage.
Since 2024, he has been the founder of BeeZee Corp, a production company specializing in music and television.
